Yannick Kraamer

Relationship manager

Yannick Kraamer has been working at SMK since 2022 and is a member of the Team Plant Products. As Relationship Manager for Plant-Based Sectors, he focuses on strengthening relationships with stakeholders. Within SMK, he is primarily involved with the On the way to PlanetProof certification scheme. Through close contact with certificate holders, supply chain partners, and other stakeholders, he monitors market developments, connects parties, and contributes to the further development and implementation of certification schemes. In doing so, he helps build broader support and greater impact through certification-based sustainability initiatives.

His passion lies in making agricultural supply chains more sustainable. He is convinced that meaningful progress is achieved through collaboration and is committed to working with stakeholders to take concrete steps toward a future-proof agricultural sector.

This conviction aligns closely with his background in the international fresh produce sector. Before joining SMK, he worked for the industry association GroentenFruit Huis and for Fairtrasa, an importer of organic fruits and vegetables. During his studies in International Development Management, he also gained international experience with organizations including AgroFair and the Seychelles Farmers’ Association. He leverages this combination of practical experience, international perspective, and collaborative approach on a daily basis to advance sustainability within plant-based supply chains.
