Benchmark shows: ‘On the way to PlanetProof’ meets FSA Gold level equivalence for sustainable farming

The Sustainable Agriculture Initiative Platform (SAI Platform) confirms the equivalence of the sustainability standard ‘On the way to PlanetProof’ for plant products at Farm Sustainability Assessment (FSA) Gold level. This is a result of a recent benchmark of the standard against SAI Platform’s FSA 2.1. The equivalence supports the ambition of SMK in the development of its standard ‘On the way to PlanetProof’ to an international environmental quality label for AgriFood.

Sustainability Map shows how a product with On the way PlanetProof certification scores on various aspects. Sustainability Map is independent and offers information about various international quality labels and standards like LEAF, GLOBALG.A.P. and EU Organic Farming.

Soil fertility is one of the main themes of the quality mark On the way to PlanetProof. Within this theme, it is required to realise a positive organic matter balance (OM balance). An organic matter balance shows the amount of organic matter supply required to compensate for the decomposition of soil organic matter.
